Grappler
This game is a 2D side-view rage-inducing challenge where players are armed with a grappling gun. The core gameplay revolves around using this grappling gun to swing and propel oneself through a variety of obstacles and terrains in an effort to ascend.
As a solo development project, I am responsible for every aspect of the game's creation and design, utilizing the Godot engine.
This endeavor serves as an invaluable learning experience, allowing me to explore both the capabilities and limitations of the Godot engine, particularly with respect to its physics system. The development of the rope swing physics and its accompanying visuals has been custom-crafted to address these limitations. Additionally, this project has been an opportunity to hone my design skills through the meticulous process of level creation to create urgency and suspense.
