Missing Me

In this side-scrolling narrative RPG, players embody a despondent farmer who embarks on a series of quests at the behest of talking plants, aiming to interact with villagers and enhance their mental well-being.

The game was conceived and developed by myself and three classmates over a period of three weeks, utilizing the Phaser framework for its creation.

As the sole programmer on the project, I was tasked with ensuring that our concepts were feasible within our limited timeframe. I spearheaded the development of integral systems such as the quest mechanics and dialogue interactions. To streamline development, I leveraged JSON to simplify the process for our writer, allowing them to easily incorporate dialogue and narrative elements without needing to delve into the game's internal mechanics.
